From busy to refined: AJ’s Yachts of Fun logo refresh

AJ’s Yachts of Fun is all about relaxed, private experiences on the water. Not loud, not over-the-top. The kind of setting where you slow down a bit and actually enjoy where you are.
Their original logo didn’t match that. It felt crowded, overly detailed, and leaned more playful than polished. It didn’t reflect the calm, upscale vibe they were trying to create.

The Challenge
The goal wasn’t to reinvent the brand. It was to clean it up.
We needed something that still felt fun and approachable, but more intentional. Something that could sit comfortably on a website, signage, or merch without feeling chaotic or hard to read.
The Approach
We stripped it back.
Instead of multiple elements competing for attention, the new logo focuses on a single, strong silhouette. Clean lines, balanced spacing, and a tighter color palette give it structure.
We kept the personality, just removed the noise.
Typography was simplified to feel more modern and confident. The overall mark now reads quickly, even at smaller sizes, which matters more than people think.
The Result
The new logo feels like the experience AJ’s actually offers.
Simple. Clean. A little elevated, but still welcoming.
It’s easier to recognize, easier to use across everything, and sets a much stronger foundation for the full website rollout.
Sometimes the biggest upgrade isn’t adding more. It’s knowing what to take away.
